Justin Bieber Earns $10 Million for Performance at Anant Ambani’s Pre-Wedding Event

Justin Bieber was reportedly paid $10 million to perform at the pre-wedding celebration of billionaire heir Anant Ambani in Mumbai on Friday, as per Indian news reports.

The 30-year-old pop sensation delivered a private concert featuring more than a dozen of his hits, including “Baby,” “Love Yourself,” and “Peaches,” for Ambani, his fiancée Radhika Merchant, and their close family and friends.

Bieber, who has an estimated net worth of $300 million, shared highlights from the extravagant gig on Instagram Saturday. The posts included a slideshow featuring the bride- and groom-to-be. In the backstage photos, Bieber was seen smiling in a white tank top, sagging black pants revealing his plaid boxers, and a backward baseball cap, posing with Ambani, Merchant, and their loved ones.

During his performance, Bieber handed the microphone to front-row guest Orhan Awatramani, who energetically sang along to Bieber’s 2015 hit “Where Are Ü Now.” Bieber’s Instagram posts also offered a glimpse into his brief stay in India, showing him enjoying a limousine ride to the venue and relaxing in his hotel suite.

Shortly after the sangeet performance, Bieber returned to the United States to reunite with his wife, Hailey Bieber, who is expecting their first child.

Anant Ambani is the son of Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries, and the richest person in Asia with a net worth of $123.4 billion, according to Forbes. The Ambani family has been preparing for the July 12 wedding for months.

In March, Rihanna was reportedly paid $6 million to perform for the couple at a celebration attended by fellow billionaires Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg. In May, the Ambanis hosted their relatives on a three-day cruise from Italy to France, featuring performances by Katy Perry, Pitbull, and David Guetta.
